As a top pilot from the Soviet Union, Air Force Captain Alexander Zuyev had a great career within the military in sight. Seing the truth of the system and it's politics, he decided to quit the service and leave. To achive this, he had only one choice: Escape to the west in a MiG-29 from his current base in Soviet Georgia he took his chance on May 20, 1989. Under the threat of Russian air defense missiles, and with other fighters in hot pursuit, Zuyev carried out a real-life flight to freedom.
